Track bike headlight blank
I'm slowly turning my bike into a trackbike and have bought a replacement set of plastics.
(the original plastics are almost mint )
Doesn't make any sense leaving the headlight in place so what can i use to fill the gap. Is there something I can just buy?
Yes I am lazy!!

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

A solid colour headlight protector is probably cheapest, or spray your standard headlight the same colour, or last ditch is to buy a cheap spare headlight and do as above. Otherwise buy track fairings that come without the headlight slot

Headlight protector sounds good with a few self tappers!

You'll get Velcro fasteners with the kit to begin with, make sure you're happy with the fit before you permanently attach it to the glass

Re: Track bike headlight blank
My race fairing is a 3 piece job . Two sides and a headlight black .
I was going to look into getting it reproduced but forgot .
It will fit standard fairings too .
Now who do I know who could make them !!,??!?!!?

Ideally I don't want to have the headlight on the bike at all. Saves the possibility of breaking it but also makes it simpler.
What does the Black bit look like?

Re: Track bike headlight blank
Just need someone to copy it
Re: Track bike headlight blank
I was going to copy that front panel myself when I had it.
Cover it in cling film, then fibreglass it, then build that mould up so it's tough. Then fibreglass on that to get your copies
I'll have the prototype please

Re: Track bike headlight blank
I spoke to a local company on the phone today about getting them to make me a mould .
I've got to go and see them with it next week and discuss a price for it .
I'd rather have a professional Mould made tbh as the pieces that come out of it should be better than if I made it myself .
I don't mind making the parts as it'll be good to learn .
