Popkat is a motorcycle dealer/mechanic/successful racer so is coming at your mods from a more engineering based response, but as he says, it's your bike, you do what you like
I have no doubt about this guys knowledge and experience, iv read many of his and other posts on here and am very eager to learn as much as i can from all. I just cant see it not being worthwhile but he seems to think it isnt? i probably should of started with how its costing me no money at all.

So what's the consensus on what I have, the complete 2001 929 (including calipers) front end swop. Hope its not a bag of shite when I finally get it on the road.
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!

You do what you want with your bike, but it's a sideways move, you could sell on the CBR front and pay for springs for your standard forks, you'd probably have change too, standard calipers are pretty good if in good condition with good pads, certainly for road riding anyway.

I'm not bothered by any of this but some of the stuff you said was wrong.

I like modding, I have modified bikes my self but they are done for upgrades and looks, I have USD forks fitted to older bikes, if you think Storm forks are crap don't try any big capacity 80's bike.

Seems to be a good upgrade (cbr 929) but dint the fork seals pop regularly? Or is that just cause of a certain someone's riding style? Believe one of the better forks to be 954

Buy some caliper adapters from webike in Japan for around £50.
Then fit brembo.
