i had a wee taste of the roads up there yesterday did blairgowrie, braemar, tomatoul, granton ,avemore , kingussie, laggin, dalwhinnie, tummel bridge ,pitlochary, bridge o cally and home 300 miles
(this would be a nice run up for the peeps coming from south direction granton to inverness keeping on the old A9 or on to nairn before inverness)

still a bit of snow on the hills but roads are grippy and empty

If nothing available on Fairfield Road, try checking any B&B's on either Kenneth Street or Glenurquart Road. Both these area's have loads of B&B's, and only a stones throw from Fairfield Road and the City centre(i.e pubs :) ) Hope you find somewhere without too much bother.

Davie, did you get a fright when that gixer thou pased you on Fri ? I did and I was working in the garden what a speed. I was straining to look over the fence to see who was passing making the unmistakable sound of a Blue Flame piped storm and from nowhere this rocket passed. 8O 8O
Saw a 999 passing on sat ( the storm sounds far better). :D :D :D

Cheers

Fcukin right I did! 8O Don't know where he came from. tw@ cut in on front o me and sprayed the front o ma bike wi stones too. Fairing and screen covered wi stone chips!
Know the 999 you're on about too. It's a guy called Gillie I think from Tain who's got it. Used to have a turquoise Speed Triple and Duke's before that. Nice bike, but agree wi you bout the sound o the blueflames! :)
Cheers,
Davie.

Thought you did, as I heard the unmistakable "what the -uck was that" hesitation on the throttle. Hav'nt been out since the mot in March and was off on holiday on the best day of the year so far 1st of April the Sat you and Wullie went down Loch Ness way.
I thought it might have been Gillie on the 999, the 916 he had sounded far better than that. But still not as good as the storm.
Very busy work wise just now so not much chance to get out, mind you the weather is crap to say the least.

Cheers
