Mav, will you stop costing me money!!! Last time you posted Big country I had to download the Seer, and now you've reminded me again how good they are, I've bought the Crossing and Steeltown. Yet another format Ive owned these albums in!

Worth it though Kev??  I could sit in a darkened room with just that song and literally cry - why he took his own life is beyond comprehension? Massive talent, gone too soon.

Amen to that, massive talent. Nobody has any comprehension of the secret demons haunting other folk. Great shame, gone too soon.

If I'm forced to pick my favourite of theirs I think Eiledon would take some beating.
The Band did the night they drove ol Dixie down first didn't they?

Aye, but not as well as BC (my opinion) Eiledon or Fragile Thing for me.

And "In a Big Country", "Ships", "The Seer", "Thirteen Valleys", "Teacher" - just about everything they did with Stuart at the helm :?

My favourite uncle passed away today. Thinking of old times, back in Lancashire got my thinking about the moors and woods around where I grew up, which led to this:
