The TRX needs an engine rebuild following the issue on Saturday. The mechanic reckons the camchain jumped off the tensioner and it's wrecked the head. He says he'll put it right and has some cams coming over from Germany. It's not going to cost me seeing as it looks like he did something wrong but I won't be seeing it for a while so I'm gutted.

Also the Gp has a right of referral, get them onside.

Don't offer family help as the LA will try to use that instead if their own resources.
Insist on an emergency assessment.
Also refuse to accept your dad home from hospital until a care package is in place.
If he's already home call an ambulance and insist that he's readmitted until a safe discharge is made.
Use the phrase "unsafe discharge" to the Hospital Social Worker, if this happens there's vast amounts of paperwork and an enquiry and they will avoid.

I work at senior level in this industry, any help you need give me a shout.

Well things are now much worse for Dad. Firstly he has dehydrated ( why don't they put fluids in as the can't move) and he now is paralysed basically from the neck down. They wont operate due to his age and his old heart condition. He may be able to go home in a wheelchair but will be totally unmovable. He is Mums carer and as he is a totally dedicated to her he will find this so hard to cope with. He is an amazing selfless man and has dedicated his last 20 years looking after her. Its ferking gut wrenching to think initially he was going to be "sitting up and out on Monday" He has told me he can't die he needs to look after Mum. We are taking all the family in today. 12 kids and about 23 grandchildren and 11 Great grand children. Mum however can't go!. Its gonna be a very shite day.

Keep in there mate. You have a lot of weight on those shoulders. As Mac says, sometimes you have to let it go at times before picking it up stronger. That's a fair few people going in for a visit. Have a sit in!

Dad sadly passed away today, surrounded by 14 Sons and daughters, all blubbing but happy he went peacefully and with great dignity. He was sedated and his Drugs and Breathing slowly turned down and he basically fell asleep and that was it. Mum bless her hasn't grasped it yet.

The Hospital staff in ICU were totally fantastic. We are all meeting tomorrow and talk things through with Mum. She will need to go into 24Hr Care. Ian not sure she will understand why at this time.

I have lost a Great friend, A man totally devoted to his Kids and wife. I will miss him loads. RIP jack Cranny. I will be Toasting him tonight.
