I prefer the 4's over the 3's despite a small increase in cost.

I just got a pair of pr4's fitted to loose wheels for £215 at a place in Norwich. (Tyre date stamps are only 4 months old!).

Just fitted Pirelli diablo rosso 2,s. £200 but came with £25 cashback voucher so £175. Only done aobut 5 miles, just to scrub them in, feel nice and neutral...Bet i don't get 2000 miles out of the rear though

I've always had dunlops but when I bought this bike it had diabolo rossi 2s on, once you get used to the profile they are bloody good tyres, solid. Can't say much for the wear tho. Think I'll stick with dunny qualifiers

New tyres being fitted tomoro. Bridgstrone BATTLAX S21. they get good reviews and are new out. Will post on grip levels in a few weeks!.

New tyres are great. Amazing grip levels. Been out in the wet and they perform well in all conditions. Much more feel and therefore confidence to push harder in the twisty stuff. Will be using these again that's for sure.

Had a set of T30 Bridgestone and got just over 9000Klms out of them and they were good until the end where they got a bit squirrely .

That is the best mileage I have ever had out of a set of tyres on the VTR and that is a factor for me in choosing Bridgestone again.

I am on the BATTLAX but ready for some new tyres never tried anyhtin but these love the grip but I d wear them down quick. Any one have any suggestions in a similar range for me to try?

Dunlop D209 Qualifiers. Not really tested them yet. Only done 25 miles. Seem ok so far. £139 with free rear padock stand seems like I got a bargain

I used to run D209 Dunlop but can't get them here in OZ anymore.

I went to Bridgestone T30 and got 9000Klms out of them .

Have just fitted Bridgestone S21 and they grip and ride well, much more responsive than the D209 or T30.

Very happy with them but wonder if I will get mileage as they are so grippy. Used to get 6000Klms out of the D209.

The S21 turn in much better and the bike feels planted.

My BT016 rear tyre was looking very unhappy after the Yorkshire trip and was replaced with a BT021. This has proven to be a mistake. Right from the off it didn't feel very grippy. Needs scrubbing I thought. However, it's now got about 600 miles on it and it's crap. Had a spirited dry ride on Tuesday evening and although it stuck on smooth tarmac, anything a bit rough or bumpy and it steps out under power. Nothing too drastic, just a judder - slip, judder - slip. That sort of thing. The BT016 never did that. I'm tempted to replace it with another BT016 but the concept of binning a 600 mile old tyre offends me.

Anyone want to take it off my hands?

All relative I suppose. Compared to the BT016 I just don't like it....

The front is a BT016 and I'm happy with it. It's got 2000 miles on it and is looking good. Good idea about keeping the BT021 as a spare though.
