Just been reading your first post and the subsequent answers. Worth a try I feel as you seem to have checked or changed everything else. remove the pair system and replace with block off plates and gaskets. Not sure if you can or know someone that can make you some (save forking out for them).

Another thought I've had is since it had air filter pilots and mains changed has it had the ignition advance mod done to it as well?

Just a random thought, but as I have been putting mine back to standard I stumbled upon a change that got rid of the surging completely on the bike. I put the TPS back to factory 900 or so, and the surging disappeared completely! Easy mod to do and might fix the issue!?

all 3 tps i had where around 900 or so but ill give it a go.

pair is blocked off i did it recently.

how bad was your surging? mine was noticeable like mad even as pillion, unbareable surging it was so irritating cruising i cant put up with it.

I removed the pair system on my 2003 model and it still ran lumpy and surged

I honestly believe fitting a fuel pump will stop this especially on the later models due to all the crap slowing the fuel pressure down .
A cbr600 pre fi pump is low pressure unit and should work a treat and they're cheap and easy to wire in .
If your banging your head on the wall still it's got to be worth a try !

It had got to that stage to be honest where I didn't want to ride it. It's probably part of my decision to sell it as riding through town was downright dangerous! Might be worth trying

where would you suggest wiring it into?

how would i go about doing it?

block vacuum hose on rear cylinder remove diaphragm from fuel tap, then run a splitter from the pumps outlet to both carbs?

Yep and block off the vac on the tap . Wire the live feed to the rear brake switch and Earth to the frame .

After it dumped its oil i changed plugs and chain had a good clean and the surging.. IS GONE!! 100% gone!!
