Re: Long stem mirrors
Not sure if this would suit you, but some have fitted long stem Yamaha R1 mirrors.
I tried some years ago, but didn't get on with them, others though like them,
Chris.

Re: Long stem mirrors
I found this German seller that has had the decency to post key measurements of the mirrors he's selling. So I ordered a pair of Yamaha FZ-6S mirrors (they are even longer than the R1s).
VTR: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-View-Mirro ... SwWTRW2Elr
R1: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-View-Mirro ... Swh-1W2Eud
FZ-6S: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rear-View-Mirro ... SwPc9W2D2R
NB: The VTR mirror's stem is measured including the base, while the Yamaha's are measured excluding the base.
