where can i buy cct gaskets??

i bought a set of APE manual ccts but they didnt send gaskets with them ??silly me for assuming so??
anyhow just browsed ebay and not available ??
any good links out there??

Though you don't necessarily need a gasket - tube of instant silicon gasket will do the job.

Gaskets are a waste of money, use silicon in ccts.
You'll need some for sealing the threads on the adjuster anyway.

thankyou for the thread for honda parts, i have ordered a couple of gaskets, some people use silicone each to their own,im a bit set in my ways so will fit a new gasket the same as the manufacturer did when the bike was new.
that is a good site for all to use and reasonably priced i will be using it in the future.

why would i be using standards cct/s after all the advice on this forum i have opted for manuals?
as for gaskets ive found that bare metal to bare metal never gets a seal for some strange reason?

Go to a motor factors & buy a sheet of gasket paper & make one...penney's for a sheet, about 5mins of your time to mark it out & cut it.

The likelihood of distortion with two strong castings over that small an area is low, and a smear of silicon sealer does the job, but if it gives you peace of mind, why not?

In my shed, gaskets are usually required at around 7 - 7:30 on a Sunday night. So I make my gaskets from cornflake boxes

For the cct's I cut off a side from the cereal box & used a socket as a hole stamp. I can't remember what size I used though.

Once the correct socket has been found & the cct fits nicely in the hole i.e. no play, just mark around the body with a pencil & cut out.

For the mounting holes, use a small bell peen hammer & slowly tap the card board (cereal box) where you can feel the slight indentation of where the mounting holes are. Really, your using the cct mounting holes to cut through the cardboard for perfectly placed holes.

Don't be tempted to use a small socket to cut the mounting holes though, you'll split the gasket..... oo er, I mean the cereal box...

I prefer Frosties. Yeh I've done that in the past. With CCT's I use a smear of gasket sealant as other manufactures use.

May be using CCT gaskets help cut down on vibration from the engine being transferred to manual tensioners causing them to loosen off
