Reposition Of R/R

Reposition Of R/R

I have to reposition my R/R due to new aftermarket tailpiece being slightly different ( :D ) in size or shape.
Anyhow, also I noticed some burning off one of the cables due to a loose crimp,
My R/R is a mosfet type, these don't get anywhere near as hot as the standard or even finned type

As the loom is reasonably long I was thinking of relocating in the tool tray area under the seat,
and maybe drilling a few air holes in the plastic undertray for extra cooling for the RR,

Anybody ever moved their RR before ?

Yes I had one in a crate & I moved it around when fitting it on a bike, they aren't very heavy, easy to move about...Hope that helps.. :lol: :lol:

If you move it make sure the new location has a good surface area to mount it too as this also helps dissipates heat that the reg/rec generates .
