How much cooling will the RR get there? It uses the frame do get rid of heat so on the plastic it wont, maybe even melt it?

Also what RR is that? Mine only has 1 plug

That concerns me; there's a heat sink on the back that gets hot and is meant to push the heat back into the frame.
If you're going to leave it there I'd suggest bolting it to a nice aluminium or copper bar and drilling a couple of cooling holes in the plastic and duct the air onto it, but trying to avoid getting rain splashing on it, or the connections will rot.
What's wrong with the original site?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

its a mosfet, they don't get that hot , but you are right, it uses the frame to dissipate heat
I'm hoping the air gap underneath will be enough, maybe not though, on don't advise people do this on a standard RR !!
And I might also get a piece of Alluminium like Tony says

Mosfet can still get hot, there's lots of different quality Mosfet types and only the best ones do it best.

You also missed a perfect opportunity to earth direct to battery.

If mine I would mount to the frame.

Ok a mosfet, I've been reading up on the makeup of those. They seem to vary a lot in price, is that just the sellers or to do with the actual parts and quality of the workmanship?

You can buy brand new mosfets and they look the same, from china, but you guessed it the quality is shite,or probably fairly shite,
most folks on here seem to go down the second hand route, think mine came off a triumph, there is a list somewhere

A friend (who also helps at work when there's complicated electrical issues to solve) looked deep into mosfets and found that cheaper ones work similar to normal ones, the best and most expensive are manufactured/come from China, so you could say there's Mosfet and then true Mosfet, I don't know all the details as it took him quite a bit of research to find out.
