HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: VTR Pheonix
I think you need to try the front fairing panel and tank on the bike to see if it will work without any black on the tank. If not a black pinstripe to split the white and orange (as you mention) on the tank may work,VTR Phoenix wrote:sirch345 wrote:It's your bike so it's your choice, but my opinion is the same as the others, the black doesn't work in that style.
You could probably get away with a black stripe down the center of the tank and tail section, even a solid line with two margin lines, one either side of the solid line,
Chris.
I was thinking about a black stripe going round to split the white and orange. Would it still go with the nose I painted if I didn't put black on the tank?

I'll test fit one side, front and tank tomorrow and see how it looks, I'll post up the result.

Here is a test fit to check if I need black on the tank or to remove it from the nose. Nothing has been lacquered yet but should I leave all as is or change something?

That's a very cool colour scheme. I think a black pinstripe at the join would look great!

What are you planning on decals? Have them in white?

I have black decals with a white Honda decal to go on the front. The tank Honda wings need to be black due to the white and orange already on the tank. I am leaning towards white decals all round now though.

I thought someone might say that I was a thinking the same. Thing is the seat cowl is finished so I'll have to strip right down and repaint. I was thinking pearl white cowl with the white radiating down to just the top flat section of the rear fairing which finishes under the seatDemonic69 wrote:I 'd go for a matching white section on the pillion cover if it was me

I think that will work very well without any black pinstripes separating the white and orange on the tank, a shame you have already finished the seat cowl.VTR Phoenix wrote: I was thinking pearl white cowl with the white radiating down to just the top flat section of the rear fairing which finishes under the seat
It's looking great so far
