never pulled so cleanly and with so much authority at lower revs.
What a great description to review things. I liked the slightest provocation bit too

Good to hear it's working out for you Micky. Things can only improve more with some fine tuning of the fuelling. Thanks for the update

Just got back in from a short ride to Jack Flash's place (my bud, fellow superhawkforum member and creator of the long fuel screws) to visit with him and have him help me to synch the carbs. The slight leaning of the needles helped clean things up yet again (can't believe how insanely responsive it is!). Now with a perfect synch thrown in, the engine is now smoother and more even to boot.

My work here is now done, I don't see how I can make it any better :)

A long and sometime eventful ride has been the HDJ experiment, but it was all worth it.

cheers

I don't suppose by any chance you will be sticking it on the dyno.

/me runs

Ha ha

That's good news pleased to hear you have finally got there. Now to get some enjoyment out of riding before that snow sets in.

HURRAY :D I'm really pleased Micky to hear this modification has turned into a more than satisfactory result, brilliant :D

I'm sure at times you must have wondered if this route was the right way to go, what with all the hurdles you ended up jumping over to get to this stage. Perhaps in a sense with this mod being successful, after having gone through all hair pulling-out moments, has made this challenge you set yourself an even more rewarding result.

Well done 8) it certainly sounds like it has paid off,

Chris.
