Hi, Im thinking of getting a gear position indicator, been looking at the Gipro X-type, has anyone got one and where is the speed sensor?

I fitted the datatool gear indicator to my old storm it took about an hour and half to wire it in to the back of the dash. Then you have to set it up about 15 mins Back end on paddock stand and I strapped the grab rail to the roof joists just in case it wanted to go through the garage door then go through the gears as instructed all set up OK
And it's still lying around in the garage somewhere.

Back of the engine by the CCT - sensor lead leads up the subframe beneath the rear plastic cowling to a connector nr the battery where it plugs into the main loom. Emerges again to connect into the clocks.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
