I will stand with everyone on this. Sync the carbs and then let's talk. I mounted aux. vacuum lines on mine so it the easiest bike I have to sync. I just fish them out from where they hide behind the frame.
Loose mounting bolts is a really good call too.

Re: Insane vibrations
can you also feel the vibes through the foot pegs? making your feet numb?
can't really add to what the guys have said. sometimes people fit crash bungs to the engine mount/frame bolts, it's possible that the bolts were overtightened, that might be worth looking at. because it would mean only 4 of the 6 bolts are doing their job properly.
I agree with gets the carbs properly balanced, even tho you have paperwork to prove that this has been done. as carl said these are big carbs and not many mechanics these days know how to set them up correctly.
keep us updated....

Re: Insane vibrations
Carb farts are perfectly normal. They all do it,set the tick over (minimum as you call it)to 1100/1200 rpm as suggested, then that will be one less problem. But it will still fart.
SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN
Re: Insane vibrations
Yes the bike has mount/frame bolts... and yes I got the impression the previous owner was overthightening everything.agentpineapple wrote:can you also feel the vibes through the foot pegs? making your feet numb?

You think there is a lost in elasticity if the strength of the tightening is not the right one?
Ok, then I will try to do a proper carburation of the minimum... lower i to 1.200 from 1.500 and try to balance them.
Checking the forum looks like I can do it without taking out half the motorbike... the tank is enough and building the tubing system.. will check again the posts in the forum to understand better (never did this before).
Don't remember if the vibrations are also under the feet, I would say yes. Have to go on an highway and check again.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Check your steering stem bearings for movement.
Elevate the front wheel off the ground, use your knees to hold the front wheel, grab the handlebars and see if there is any movement as you try and wiggle the bars.
Just a thought as you said the vibrations were through the bars.
Could also be a front wheel bearing.
Worth a try!
