Yeah, and she took me down to the river and fed me tea and oranges that came all the way from China.

So much for democracy
She also told MPs to reject the Brexit result - backed by 52 per cent to 48 - because the decision was too 'complex' for the 'uninformed' electorate.

Wow, a bit of culture! Leonard Cohen, who'd have thunk it showing up on this thread.
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Democracy isn't about allowing the uninformed to be led by vested interests (such as the Daily Mail/Murdoch etc) but about elected representatives making decisions on informed opinion. What next, a referendum on whether or not to pay income tax? This was always an ego trip for Cameron who was too weak to tell his Eurosceptics to eff off to UKIP if that's what they wanted and was made worse by that useless Corbyn not making the case for Europe.

I voted to remain in the EU but one thing that really gets up my nose is these remain people, nasty little bullies, who like to call people who voted to leave racists, bigots, thick or uneducated.

Well one thing I have to say to my fellow remain voters why don't you shut up, people have voted, people have different reasons for voting to remain or leave. Democracy has spoken, suck it up butter cup.

Oh lets talk about the elephant in the room, that's right immigration, most of these search light reading brigade have no idea of what they are talking about or why people have gotten so angry about it, well I have, the grandson of a Spaniard who is married to the granddaughter of a Polish war veteran, I tell you when you live in working class areas, you have to compete with people willing to work for a lot less than you, you have to wait sometimes two weeks to get a doctors appointment, you have trouble getting housing, your can't get your kids into a nearby school, the street you live in becomes barely recognizable, oh and the lack of integration is a two way street trust me on that. Now I get why people have come here, I really do, and lets be honest we would all do the same in their shoes, but that doesn't make it alright.

Now unless you people are willing to face up to the fact that we as a nation have to many people here competing for very limited social resources and also acknowledge the fact that not all these refugees and immigrants are the little angels you seem to think they are, this vote how unthinkable you think it was is going to get worse and worse, and you wonder why the far right and fascism is raising its head again in Europe.

Oh another thing, people keep banging on about how the Polish helped us in the war, well Poland was invaded and conquered by the Germans, its soldier however brave they were, were given a second chance to fight against the Germans and to take Poland back, it just so happens the last bit of Europe that was resisting them were us the British, So here they were, no one can take away the bravery of the airmen and soldiers, but they weren't doing it out the kindness of their hearts. The biggest betrayal came when Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin carved up Europe.

I finally phoned the doctors two days ago to book an appointment. Told them I need to speak to someone because I am suffering from anxiety, depression and having suicidal thoughts and the soonest they can book me in is the 20th

There's too much negativity going about everywhere I go and look. Most of it leads back to commercialism and politics. We don't have a democracy never have had really, that's only a word to make people feel like they are in control. The reality of it is that we are living more in a capitalist state or dictatorship where we are told/brainwashed what is right and wrong and what we can and can't do, even what we say. No freedom of speech any more. For all I know this post could get flagged because I am against what they stand for.

This is how crazy things are.
https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20160 ... echdirt%29

And all this rubbish does is create paranoia and spreads the disease.

This is the kind of world politics is creating. We can't blame people for being a little fascist or racist. Horrible words those two, I prefer patriotic. Maybe I will get some faith back in the system if Blair is hung for treason, he should be treated like a Nazi war criminal for lying and inciting war under false claims to benefit his own riches. IMO what he started along with the Bushes is no better than what Hitler was trying to do. We have no right to try and control other countries and should stay well out of their business but we have every right to control and look after our own.

Re. Doctors appointments

When folk are stuck in a traffic jam do folk blame the road for not having the capacity, the gov for lagging behind in investment in roads or immigration?
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Hey Carl, your not alone feeling like you do.

It’s intentional.

That’s the idea. That’s the plan.

I am sure there a few people on here that can empathise with you, the brain is a powerful thing and if it is slightly off orbit it has some very negative effects.

but if all the doc is going to do is put you on happy pills then is that really going to help the underlying issues? make sure you push for CBT or other solutions and don't just settle for pills.

and obviously use the good people on here to support you and give you some outside perspective on the problems. oh and riding a motorbike is a great escape, so just find a way to get out more

look after yourself, and the offer still hold that you can come and live in my garage loft if you want to get some time away from the normal pressures

Totally agree Wicky the government has been very lackluster when it comes to investment into area's which has seen high amounts of immigration, if anything they have in the name of austerity cut back on services.

But still you can't expect them to erect doctors and hospital centers in a hurry.

Also Wicky you don't solve the problem by dumping another wave of refugees or immigrants into the mix, that just doesn't make sense.

This isn't a black and white, or brown issue, this is simply a numbers issue.

An issue looked down upon by those with, against those without.

I'm not looking for any sympathy but thanks for all your kind words. I'm not going to go and top myslef but said that in hope of getting an appointment sooner but I do get trigger warnings in my thought process at times, you know, what's the point, can't be arsed any more, might as well be dead. Pills are not the answer but they may help in the short term to regulate my body and sleeping patterns and give me some get up and go. Smoking puff used to regulate things for me but I don't do that any more or mix in them circles. I'm well aware of the dangers that go along with taking pills and counselling and lifestyle is the answer long term if things continue. Local Mind group or something. Some days I can't even get up or go to sleep, dreams are all wombles up. I'm locked inside my own prison within me. I've dug the hole and now I need to escape.

I've applied for loads of jobs from design work, retail work, supermarkets and bar work with no success. Starting to think it's an age thing. I''d love to get out on the bike but unfortunately that is off the road right now and I have no income to get there or even sort out insurance, fuel etc. I'm not even on benefits as I couldn't cope with them puppets or is that muppets  and the games required to play to get any money which don't help anyone long term accept their numbers and paperwork. They where pushing the wrong buttons and if I hadn't got out of there they would have ended up having to call security as I was on the verge of snapping. At least I have the Internet as that's something so shall keep applying for jobs, fingers crossed something comes up trumps soon. I might have to expand my horizons and get out on foot if I can get the get up and go and face the world.

Anyway enough about me. Back to politics. I see the Chilcot enquiry is a complete joke. The most we going to get is an apology. More public money wasted and if you want a hard copy of the whole enquiry it's going to cost even the bereaved families. They don't even get a full printed copy WTF
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 64166.html

So basically they get treated the same way as the boys and girls that where on the ground. Buy your own boots and body armour. The whole thing stinks. it's as bad as the world trade centre cover up. And lets not forget the EU backed this war, hence there are so many attacks across Europe.
