starting to get the hump with my front brakes.
after fitting a lovely radial master and bleeding the buggers, 5 bleed nipple in total...
last night I cable tied the brake lever. and this morning there's a big brake fluid stain on the floor and no fluid in the reservoir....ffs!!!
this happened before in spain. the banjo bolt on the lhs caliper needs to be ultra tight, which doesn't seem right to me.
anyways I re-bled the feckers today, i'll cable tie the lever again over night, fingers crossed.

You shouldn't really need to be pulling the lever in overnight and putting extra stress on the seals. That's why you have so many bleed nipples. The lever trick works with the standard setup because they are sh1t to begin with and don't have a master cylinder bleed nipple. Maybe some tassels will help.

Put some PTFE tape on the bleed nipple threads...Over tightening it wont help you'll just damage the threads therefore making it worse...

Q. How much to undo two screws and do them up again?
A. if you're Asda Opticians, £40.

I ordered some spare lenses for my glasses, and they "can't" supply the lenses only, they "have to" charge £40 to fit them, they are apparently at the mercy of their greedy suppliers, who "insist" on this charge being applied.

Perhaps Asda might choose less avaricious suppliers, I venture to ask?

I have submitted a formal complaint- let's see what transpires....

Game on.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

the bleed nipples are fine, it's the banjo bolt on the nearside caliper that's the issue. after devon i'll try a different bolt with even more new washers.

We've got a hotpoint but I wouldn't recommend it as it leaks a bit now and then.

Received a l/H switchgear (eBay) apparently of an F3 Storm and it does not have a headlight switch but a blanking plate. FFS this means my lights have to be permanently on wtf. There are times when I like to switch them off and let the charging system get a boost or I don't want to be seen. I'm going to have to remove the blanking plug and take the switch off my old unit and tap into the wiring now. What a faff instead of a simple swap. :(
