As was already said. If you get it cheap enough and are happy (capable) to do the work yourself, it sounds good

I would be more concerned if there was no lube in this area.As it would show poor maintenance.

I made up my mind and decided to get the bike after all, Woo Hoo! Many thanks for all the positive feedback and helpful information. Got a mate coming down with his trailer next weekend and we'll go and pick it up, the same mate who we used to tear through the canals in Sydney when we were kids on our dirt bikes, much like that kid did years later in Terminator 2. Maybe I can get him out of the dirt and on the road..
