Pilots stayed untouched, I didn't stated clearly, last three changes were only on needle position. Seems like DJ G2 and 1.3mm is the lowest position I can go with pipercross filter, lower is blocking needle jet (or tube) while air is coming more to the main circuit at 3-4k and needle is not lifted enough. G2 and 0.7 or 1mm just didn't work and adjusting pilot screws didn't make it any better. But with other filter it can be different story.

Stephan wrote:nice topic you have. Just for your interest, I am still not finished with my setup, but I am close. The biggest improvement was change from Dr Honda stacks (HRC/HP Power design) to oem plastic short/long. From this change, I feel midrange is much better, and top end maybe as well.

BTw, I am just now struggling low end issues with DJ needles at position G2 + 1mm washers ... :D :D I need to solve it but I am not going to file them. Strange is that with approx 1.3 mm washers it was ok but midrange punch is not so strong, you was there ...

I don´t say Dr Honda stacks don´t work, but just in my application, together with my Arrow full exhaust, Pipercross filter and stg1 engine, definitely not.
After reading that Stephan I too changed back to the oem long/short stacks & I also have regained my impressive mid range.

I have been looking into changing stack heights but keeping the Ducati trumpets. Trying to make some the same length as the odd oem's but still using the huge Ducati intake bell mouth. Here are some pictures.

Why do you have longer one in front? That's reversal of oem design.

The carbs underneath are the other way around though, it was only a quick assemble on the table for some pictures Stephan

Here they are all the right way up on the bike

Might be a waste of time, but we'll see. Will update

They look good. Very similar to Mori's. I wonder how much of an affect the wide curved mouth is having.
