What's annoyed you today??

Received a l/H switchgear (eBay) apparently of an F3 Storm and it does not have a headlight switch but a blanking plate. FFS this means my lights have to be permanently on wtf. There are times when I like to switch them off and let the charging system get a boost or I don't want to be seen. I'm going to have to remove the blanking plug and take the switch off my old unit and tap into the wiring now. What a faff instead of a simple swap.

I meant to tell you that when you told me you'd bought it, tbh they're very hard to find, i'd sell it on, you'd probably make a profit.

(On Sunday)

Waking up, going to make a cup of coffee & finding I was wading through water in the kitchen. I live on a boat...

I'd been pumping out the bilge Sat eve & had stuck the end of the hose pipe into the river. When the pump cut out a reverse siphon kicked in. Fortunately I didn't sink & there's no lasting damage, but it took hours on Sun to pump it all out.

The trials and tribulation of living on a boat. What a mess Just think what it's like for those folk that have to live through floods and all the sewage. I should imagine what you had was nothing by comparison.

Woke up this morning on a boat, only realised when I stepped out the front door, thank fook the tide was out.fook knows how I got there.

Clutch cable snapped on my 600 commuter a 20 minute walk from home on my way to work.
So I park it up, and walk back home.
Wearing bike gear, so got very hot.
Had my second shower of the day, then walked twenty mins in the other direction to collect my van, which had been in the garage having a new power steering belt fitted.
That was 351 pounds, because they couldnt get the bolt out that holds the pulley on to the alternator , so new alternator needed.
Ok, so got the van, picked up the bike, headed for work via a bike shop on Swanley to order a cable.
Almost got to thr bike shop before the alternator pulley came off again....
Drove it back to the gge, with no power steering.
They said they'd get and fit a new alternator.
Walked home and got the sp2 out and went to work on that.
Got there at 13.00.

Bloody vehicles....
Still, the van was apologetically parked back on my drive tonight and the keys posted through my letterbox.

i had a job for only a year that meant i could catch a bus, i hated it at the time, but now doing 200 miles a day i would love that job!. the M4 was closed the other day and i went from home to Maidenhead and it took 6.5 hrs.
I have to go up the M27, the M3, the A33 and then the M4. all shite and i mean shite, roads.
