Im back !!!!!!!
Im back !!!!!!!
Hello everyone.
Some of you may remember me from a while back . I bought a dark blue storm and did loads and loads of work on it. - and in actual fact i used the work to help me get over serious depression and mental problems and im not afraid to share these issues with anyone. Having packed in my highly paid, but massively stressful, IT management job, working for despicable US masters i now drive a van for tesco!!!!
So for all kinds of reasons the work to complete the storm was put to one side, but im back on it now!!!!!! Started this afternoon fitting a new rear subframe. - boy what a job !!!! But im on it, and will get all the body panels back on soon and fire her up, complete with fitted manual adjusters!!!
Once original is commissioned i'll get onto my other storm which i bought with a dropped valve on the front head - looking forward to it !!!!!!
Anyway , its good to be back, and i'll keep you posted.
Bit wierd that a storm saved my sanity !!!!!

Find something else to tinker with Lloydie, Virt still around....
Think i exited for similar reasons when you entered Brian - although I drive a Waitrose van now
Be interested to hear your progress on the bikes - one thing i found during my tinkering phase was the guys on here transformed my tinkering into actually having a positive effect on the bike, not so sure about me though

Re: Im back !!!!!!!
Nice to hear you are back. If you think he is the only sane one here, we can surely change that.
Re: Im back !!!!!!!
Boy have i made progress today !!!!!!!!!
Fitted the newly powdercoated subframe - boy what a jigsaw that has is !!!!! Took the time toclean every connection as well while all the blocks were apart..
Then fitted the newly refurbished header exhaust pipes and silencers. Does everyone have the same problems with those graphite bushes that i had ????? What a daft system that is.
Then i fixed the catching rear brake that i got after fitting new pads all those months ago. Had managed to damage one of the pad holder shims. - sorted now.
So connected all the electrics ( i had already done a mod to the rectifier giving it a direct +ve from the battery and somilarly a direct - ve to the battery). Pushed the button and she spins over ok without any 'clashing' noises. - bearing in mind i did the manual cct modification all those months ago. With no tank fitted i wasnt going to get her running, that is for later in the week with a fully charged battery.
Then as long as everything is ok i can refit all the bodywork including the sprayed up belly pan.
So not far to go !!!!!!
