Another one bites the dust.....recycled back into the ground to spring a new leaf on the tree of life.

Re: RIP Leonard COHEN
a true poet and a humble man... RIP
As an old punk rocker Leonard was a long way off my musical norm, but some of those songs stand by themselves and escape musical genre definitions. That is why a few years ago we made the pilgrimage to Dublin to see him perform an open air gig when he went back on the road to help pay his debts. I went with neutral expectations but I was stunned by the lyrics, the emotions & the musicianship of his band, LC made sure he was surrounded by some very talented musicians, and the humble way he praised his band and let them shine with their own skills.
we will miss his talent and grace

Real talent, a lyrical poet. Suzanne, The Partisan and Tower of Song are some of my favourites and look out for Leonard later on "What are you lsitening to...right now?" as I toast his passing with a good old listen/trip down memory lane in the company of strong alcoholic beverages.....

I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!
