This is a kind of a joke with a bit of seriousness behind it with the way things are going.
All these devices also waiting to be hijacked and turned into zombie devices ready for the next big DNS attack from Putin's or whoever's botnet too.
Cybersecurity is a great job for the now and future for up and coming youngsters. Soon cybersecurity experts will be needed not only for government and businesses but for everyday individuals. Ironically cybersecurity will be needed for security devices like wireless alarm systems and doors etc, home security.
Now for something diffrent and to show how much these companies care. Applecare comes at a cost. You gotta love this guy
Which bit don't you understand I will try to explain. On second thoughts don't bother See this is the problem and you are a perfect example where technology is not understood and how companies can take advantage of folk that purchase the products simply for them to make money out of us. And worse, is that government's don't always fully understand or enforce any regulations onto the companies. They may employ a technology expert to explain thing's to them which they listen too but one may as well be speaking Klingon and the government earn tax from all these products and it also benefits them when it comes to monitoring and controlling us so they turn a blind eye.
Yeah but who the fek needs a fridge internet enabled in the first place ?
All this tech is just fashion consumerism...
I had a call the other day from BT, apparently they have bought out EE & the bod on the phone was trying to sell me a phone...I let her waffle on for 5 mins then told her I didn't have a mobile so she was wasting her time as I wasn't interested...
The next question... why haven't you got a mobile ?
Don't need or want one thanks...
Yes I do have one but it's a work phone BTW.
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Exactly, but some of it is useful. What's wrong is the way that these products are marketed to us and are often of inferior quality and at times even put our own personal security at risk. Then it gets outdated so quickly that one is eventually forced to purchase or upgrade again. They are doing the same with vehicles now. Look how they give incentives for those to purchase electric vehicles or put on a higher insurance or even ban vehicles from some places if older than a certain year. It's called being eco-friendly but that's bollox. They simply want us to spend more money unnecessarilly.
