FS: USD Fork conversion upper

Post by mik_str »

Selling the Yana Shiki black billet triple I used for a couple of years following my 2005 ZX-10R fork conversion. This unit is from a 2007+ CBR600RR and the stanchion holes were machined out to 50mm (from original 48mm) in order to accommodate the larger ZX forks (why not use the stock Honda CBR triple? Because the stock cast piece looks flimsy IMHO and I questioned the wisdom of machining additional material from it). FYI, this unit has a 204mm c-to-c measurement and has 30mm offset, which adds to trail compared to stock VTR set-up (better stability). Also, this cannot be mixed and matched with a 2005-2006 lower as they have different offset (05-06 are at 35mm)

FWIW, if you are looking to do a front-end swap, the 2004-2005 ZX forks aloow yoiu to keep you stock front wheel, brake rotors and axle. This upper, a suitable lower and a set of caliper and you're in business.

Asking $80 US plus shipping (I paid over $130 for this unit, plus cost of machining - which was done by Jamie Daugherty of Daugherty Motorsports, a superhawkforum member and all-round great guy)

thanks for looking
