Engine compression

Hi guys,
I'm working on the storm during these days, the bike is quite old and need some manteniance.
I did things like greasing swingarm and shock link, change plugs, clean main chain drive ecc ecc..
The previus owner fit a BMC air filter in the airbox, near the carbs "trumpets" I found some (a lot of ) debris mixed with oil and dirt
I never found dirt inside of an airbox, shoud I must be worried about some loss of compression?

P.S. the bike run fine, no blue smoke from mufflers

dirt and dust in the carb side of the airbox is never good. get the filter properly cleaned and reoiled, and also check the little triangle sponge filters that sit on the cyl head vents, you can get dirt in there as well

but if the bike runs fine there is no point in doing a compression test.............. if it is low what are you going to do - put a new engine in or just keep riding it
