you can get the bike to handle nicely with a bit more sag on the front. I think my bike is better now with the high bars, I have never been known for slow cornering

Whatever slight changes it makes to handling its worth doing because storms really are nice with the high bars

Dunno, jury's still out on my progressive fork springs, feels a lot less flighty.
