I answered all the questions etc and did very well, the issue as it turned out is!

The Agency indicated 8K over what was offered, I did tell them initially what i wanted but that seemed to be met with shock at the interview.

I told them my lowest Salary that i would require, i will have to wait and see.

If the job had been salaried at what the Agency had said i would have snapped it up.

I will keep you updated if i hear anything.
Fingers crossed and stick to your guns mate

when I was in corporate world I hated all this baldrocks. On the one hand they say our people are our greatest asset and on the other get them on the cheap if you can. I recruited a team and if they all had similar ability I paid them all the same - some moaned, some gained but everyone was paid a market rate for the role - interestingly the women gained the most and thought I was some sort of Galahad because they gained the most as their pay was often way lower than others. If differences in pay are significant it's very corrosive and damaging in the long term
