If your really cunning, you can snap a corner off your plate , screw that small section on and voila...guilt free..

This may or may not have happened when a "friend" picked up his Hayabusa one Summers evening, rode it a few hundred metres down the road, took the plate off and cracked it in half on the kerb, screwed half of it back on, binned the rest and enjoyed a stressfree 200mph ride home..
ohh even better idea, I do occasionally catch the number plate on the garden gate as I leave the house :shh:

With my camera van incident, seeing as there was no one behind me, if I'd slammed it on and done a u-turn whilst still some distance away could they have got me?

No NIP yet...ten more days to go

Fingers crossed

Something similar might, or might not have happened to me about a month ago in a moment of madness.
Just the fear of them turning up on my doorstep and loosing my licence has been bad enough. Think I would have rather been stopped and known my fate :shifty:
My new ride is a bit of a Howler and I love to make her Squeal

Just think how special a VTR will be when we live in a Mad Max world. I don't think there will be any chance of getting nicked for speeding as droids fly around at a faster pace. Might be a problem finding fuel though.

Thanks Chris :)

Will of course update if I hear anything. It'll be a nice/nasty Christmas present either way.

Just an update on this: no NIP has arrived since 9 December when the above encounters occurred so I think it's safe to say that I've got away with the camera van. The operator obviously wasn't fast enough and/or was too distracted clocking the rubbish lorry I was overtaking who (a) was speeding a bit and (b) had its headlights on, both of which will have diverted attention away from me. So thank you Mr Rubbish Lorry Driver.

Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone!

Lucky, Lucky man!
Had some similar run ins on the VTR, it's too easy to get in trouble just using a few hundred mtrs of passing lane!
