Lost a tooth filling.

Post by sirch345 »

What a time of the year to have a filling fall out from one of my teeth.
I'll have to see if I can have an emergency appointment tomorrow. Not the end of the world I know, although it could have waited until after Christmas :)

A filling falling out of your tooth at ANY time of the year doesn't sound appealing to me. It'll cost a bomb to replace if yer not on the NHS (like as to wot I is).

That said, My last visit to the dentist was years ago. Terrified of them, to the point that it takes me 20 mins to get settled into the chair. They used to make me a double appointment, until they had enough, and ''kindly'' told me to not come back, and referred me to a specialist Hypno/calming dentist that can work with wooses like me.

Needless to say, I never went. If anything needs done in my mouth, that's what the Dremel is for, and the exterior Polyfiller. (Which I got bollocked at by the last dentist, cos one of my fillings came out (an olde silvery one) and I plugged it with exterior polyfiller - she went mental trying to drill it out, as it set harder than what she's used to drilling.

Best of luck in the chair. Don't envy you at all.
If it ain't broken...f*ck about with it until it is.

I'm feeling better knowing I'm not on my own Macdee

Sorry to hear you have had a tooth problem as well. This is a first for me, a filling falling out, the cavity feels huge  probably not as bad as it feels, I hope anyway,

Thanks Dave, going to the dentist, the only time you have to pay for pain  well perhaps not entirely true if you know what I mean
I like the poly filler bit

Luckily I'm am still with an NHS dentist, even so I can't see it being cheap,

To make sense of this, I have had to sit at my desk with my head tilted backwards over the chair, with 3 forks, 2 spoons and a bike gloved finger in my mouth....then saying it.

Well you've done a lot better than me  although yet to try the 3 forks, 2 spoons and the finger of a bike glove bit yet :problem:

No joy today with seeing a dentist. They don't classify a filling coming out as an emergency unless I'm in pain,

The only part that really stresses me about the dentist is waiting for the numbing stuff to go. and the burning sensation as its going, apart from that, fillings, root canals, extractions no problem.
