IMHO for road use, if you don't carry a pillion passenger then you don't really need a remote preload adjuster,

Chris.
I found a link in the thread for a very good deal on a hagon, but from what I can gather so far the hagon is a replacement for the original, im not sure about yss but I think it wise to spend a little more and go for a nitron, Malc can do a good price on one.

But now after Watty's penske suggestion I'll have a squint at them too.

There's too much choice for my simple mind.

I thought the price for that Hagon shock in that thread I posted will take some beating price-wise too.
A Nitron shock will be a better shock than the two other cheaper shocks you mention will be.

Getting a shock with a spring weight related to your own body weight is what you should be aiming for.

I favour Penske shocks as Watty does 8)

the way to view a hagon or yss, as a replacement like for like for an oem shock, but after 15k for oem shock starts to wear out, so having a new hagon/yss will be an improvement on a used/worn oem shock, but similar to a brand new honda shock....
personally, i'd be looking for a slightly better shock from the list. but it all depends on your budget, the better the shock the better the handling, as long as it's tailored to fit you.

Thanks, yes think I'll save a bit more and go for a nitron from Malc, unless a second hander comes up on ebay and its worth reconditioning.
does anyone have experience with hyperpro's?

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Thanks Wicky, but I was asking about the rear shocks, I've already got hyperpro fork springs in.
Got the preload backed off to 3 notches and they still feel planted, I prefer it to be a bit twitchier so think ill back the preload off altogether and see how it feels then.
