Yeah!! Finally new manual CCTs are arrived from UK.

Installation started.

First of all carburettors removed, then timing covers off.







I decided to start from the rear one, as it's easier to access. So I removed the automatic CCT (locked before removal) and setted the manual one at the same length out, in order to have the correct chain tension (more or less)



....I fuond valves freeplay out of tolerance so, before new CCT installation, I have to proceed with freeplay regulation.

I could only find red APE CCTs when shopping for mine and those look way nicer in silver.

I bought them on eBay. I don't know the brand but I can give you the seller's name.
Only tow valves out of tolerance (too close) on the rear head. When I rebuilt the engine for ACCT failure, the rear head remained untouched. Now more or less 50000km. Front head is ok.

It's nice when it's the rear head that needs doing and not the front, with the rear being easier to access

Note, you'll most likely find the new CCT's will need to be set slightly shorter than the old standard CCT's are in the locked position you are removing them in. Just keep your eye on the cam chain tension when you fit the new CCT's, and follow Carl's guide to set the correct amount of slack required in the cam chain between the two camshaft sprockets,

Finally installed, them look fine!!!





Bike tested: everyting works well, no noises!! Checking the genuine ACCT it looks good too, but the "clack clack" noise I've heard is disappeared.
