Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
That back end picture could be taken straight out of my build album. Exactly the same colour, undertray, clearlight everything. Looks very smart, did you go for the pearl orange?
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!
Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
Yeah its pearl orange used on Lamborghinis / Ford ST Orange I have been building it since 2013 when my yellow storm got wrote offVTR Phoenix wrote:That back end picture could be taken straight out of my build album. Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
I too have read & seen pictures of Sv1000 radded Vtr's Duffy, this is the way I am hopefully going to go with my tracker project.
The radiator they recommend is from a naked Sv1000 as it has a rad cap on, not a faired version pipe connector.
They are relatively cheap too @ £60 delivered.

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
Aaron Radiators have a wide selection of new ones, they make them so could do a special, but would also have a selection of different ones, something should fit.
They're local,

Duffy, my side-mount rad on Tango was made by Docking Engineering at Silverstone (link below). Wasn't cheap because it was a 1-off but maybe worth a look if you get stuck...

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
The issue I had with the GSXR front end was lack of space between the front cylinder head and the forks - I can imagine the Blade front end being a similar size to the GXSR front end.
Here's a couple of very early pics of Tango before it became Tango... this was my first (and only) attempt to locate a rad in the traditional place under the headstock. I used a modified Firestorm side rad (you'll see the outlet pipe's been relocated). First I had to cut back the front mudguard to give it half a chance of enough clearance, then found that sharp braking had the front tyre making hard contact with the bottom of the rad. It was definitely an "ouch" moment...

You could adjust the fork settings to reduce compression but then you end up with a front end that's to bloody stiff. If you do find a good front mount solution for the rad then let me know!!

Re: Duffy's Streetfighter Project
Cheers for the photos it all looks rather snug and not much room to play with. I can tell it's really gonna be a pain.
