Does she sound right?

Post by VTR Phoenix »

She has been sitting for quite a while and after charging battery and draining tank and carbs of old fuel, filling with fresh fuel and filling the carbs she fired up. I know the carbs need a sync but just want opinions on whether she sounds right, my main concern is the "turbo" like sound when revved. She idles steady and no issues with starting or any other strange noises.

Sounds OK to me, just the air being sucked in. Maybe you have forgotten what it sounds like.

Have you fitted a turbo?
If so, it's normal.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks for the responses, I'm trying to get some flush fitting front indicators that fit the storm and don't look tacky or out of place. Has anyone any suggestions?

It's funny but mine doesn't make that turbo like sound. I wish it did because it sounds nice but it's just not there. I finally stopped worrying about all the little noises my engine makes and just started enjoying it. I think the VTR is the most fun bike I have ever owned. It even beat my Norton for pure fun and that's saying a lot.
