Well you will get different opinions on this but this vid show how I run mine.
The reason for the extra work fitting the rubber bit from the stock set up is that without it both water and road debris can get down into the plug well.
It also keeps the coil very stable.

So while you don't have to have it, in my opinion it is a good thing to run and worth the extra time to modify the rubber bits to fit

Having thought I'd wired these up correctly I watched the video for a bit pf positive re-enforcement and I've come up short.

Another thread on this same topic clearly states and shows it's green to black for the earth and the other wire is just the other wire. Great, that's what I did.

The video on the other hand says black to black for the earth with the other wire being green. So which is right?

The wiring diagrams I have clearly show the green wire on the Firestorm is earth but closer inspection shows the other wires are yellow/blue and blue/yellow. My coils were both black/yellow. Have I got the wrong wiring diagram?

Sliding the rubber down does exactly that. No wobble and I have ridden in all weathers with no issues.
