I've got a Motorola G which is about 3 years old, it's been an ok phone and best feature being water resistant, it's getting slow now and a bit full up so time to replace it.
I don't have a need for an I-phone or an S6/7 etc, I'm happy with paying £12-13 per month and getting all I need from a phone.
I think Motorola were owned by Google but they have since sold out, don't know if this makes a difference, anyway I've been looking at the Motorola G4 and the Samsung J5, both have similar specs and prices, shame the G4 is no longer water resistant though.
Anyone got either of these phones and can comment on what they think of them. It's not like you get to test ride and when bought your stuck with the phone for a couple of years.

Motorola now owned by Lenovo, ex IBM. I've always thought the Moto G great value, and Motorola don't seem to mess around with Android in the same way Samsung does. If you can stretch things a sim free Google Nexus 5x is tremendous value, pure Android so you always get updates immediately and sticks two fingers up to the expensive flagships phones, plus you can get decent sim only contracts for £8 or so a month, especially if you threaten to leave your current network
