OK maybe I should of been more specific, what's the size of your number plate when it's not having to be legal

9 x 7
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

Re: Number plates
9x7, I don't understand by people want to attract the wrong sort of attention to their bikes. Gives the cops a reason to pull you over and thoroughly check your bike out, then if you can't produce licence or insurance you get a producer. More time wasted. What's the big deal about the plate anyway, you need one, the specified size, spacing etc do why change it?
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!

Agreed, most of my bikes have an 8 x 6 plate, not long fitted one to the storm, I was pulled over by plod on the bike on the bike last year with an 8 x 6 plate and it didnt get a mention, looks neater and not going to get you into bother with plod...or the MOT inspector.
Re: Number plates
Yep. 8x6 here as well.
But I keep a legal one with the correct spacing to show the Mot blokey or the Plod if they want to see one.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: Number plates
After the paintwork and tidy up ran a 7x5 because it was the same width as the undertray.. never had any issues. Other storms I have had, I just left what came on them and they were all larger sizes.
