Chinese tank grab
Re: Chinese tank grab
Never tried. it seems they are little invasive for the rider, may be specially during the full throttle?(they push on the stomach?)
Re: Chinese tank grab
From a pillion point of view I have always preferred holding onto a handle behind so arms can be locked like a backrest support along with leaning forwards towards the rider so all the weight is as one. No grabbing onto the rider then or wrapping arms around him/her. What bugs me more with pillions is lids banging.

Re: Chinese tank grab
Been using pillion pals for years now, of the options available to me IE not having a Honda Goldwing etc, they are the best ive tried, a pillion with no grab handle or security can be be a nightmare under hard braking and acceleration, with their arms wrapped around you.fulviogsx wrote:Never tried. it seems they are little invasive for the rider, may be specially during the full throttle?(they push on the stomach?)
With the pillion pal , it gives you and just as importantly, the pillion, much more security, more so than a grab rail offers...and a nice natural , more upright riding position for the pillion which also means you have more room.
Those grab handle things are good but even more invasive and much more uncomfortable for the pillion, especially if your pillion isnt a size 8 female... as the pillion really has to lean into the rider , place their arms under theirs to reach the handle mounted in the middle of the tank.
If you ride 2 up frequently, maybe get one and see what you and your pillion thinks.
