The powers that be closed our 24hr a&e over 12 months ago in favour of a limited 'urgent care', run by a private provider.
Since then a hardy band of protestors have been at the hospital every saturday morning and 12 months ago the biking family arrived en mass to support them, and that is what we did again today.
With a ride past then a stop in front of the hospital with some noisy revving!!!, before parking up and joining the protestors.
As a result of the protests we have got a 12hr a&e, but we must get our 24hr service back . - its life or death!!!
Very humbling to see the tears in their eyes and to be so welcomed.
The biking family comes good again.

It started with a walk to the field where we normally go however on the 2nd lap around I spot a small trail that I haven't seen before and I've been walking it here for years .
So feeling like a 10 year old with a sense of adventure and the possibility of stepping onto the unknown we went for it .
The trail was thick brush and over grown ,we just kept walking and walking .
We found some really nice clearings and I had to take a few snaps .
.
Now I looks at the time and realise we've been out for hours and I have no idea where I am and how to get back !!
Out comes google mapsfeck I'm 10 miles away from home !.
Never knew we could go that far around here by the woods.
I'm knackered now and need a nap
And no I didn't find a road and call a taxi to get home
Looks like problem solved Rob. I knew r/r was a good one it came of my bike when I replaced it with a mosfet.StormyRob wrote:I charged my motobatt battery overnight. I'd actually temporarily stolen macs battery to get home from Grainstorm.
Plugged in this afternoon and stuck multimeter on. Good voltage. up above 14 but reg rec is earthed differently now so happy enough. Definitely believed it was holding charge so risked riding to work. Did about 28 miles including a detour. Now if that had been yesterday of not have been able to start her again once turned off.
Left her sitting at 1330. Went out five minutes to see if she'd fire up and she did straight away so the battery is still good!
Happy with that. Ran like a dream on the way to work too. Can enjoy it for a while now. Well two weeks before its parked up for a month.
Nah! I think he's just trying to show us where the bodies are buriedAMCQ46 wrote:its like Lloydie the mandog and the wardrobelloydie wrote:Just back from taking the man dog for a extended walk !!.
