Hi There. I have just got my storm never had twin defore want to do a oil and filter change can anyone recommend a good oil my bike is 2000 done about 40,000 miles

welcome along sir. oil wise everybody has there own favs, but any good branded semi synth does the job. iv used castrol,motul and a few others.

I've always used Castro semi-synth 10w 40 in mine with no ill effects.

welcome to the forum T Jay, don't get us started on the what oil debate. I recently had a heated debate with a guy from the usa regarding oil. he refused to believe that vtr's could have issues using fully synthetic oil.
it's personal choice after all. but most of us have chosen a 10w 40 semi syth.
as yet I've not heard of anyone having an issue with semi syth. and that goes from the cheapest to the more expensive oils....

Heya Welcome to the forums

Folk have different ideas as to what is best to use but myself.. I don't fuss over brands too much other than checking out reviews if using a brand I haven't used before.. I just stick with 10/40 semi and I change oil twice a year.
