these work out to £92 with p&p
my local Honda C J Ball want £99 (robbing ba****)
but my other question is as3performance and samco show a lot more pipes than what Honda list or am I missing something?
I make it I need 5 pipes according to the picture on Hondas site

There are definitely more than 5. Off the top of my head its 11 if replacing the lot? Happy to be corrected. I suppose it depends how many of them you want to replace.
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

I have a Samco set in blue and, apart from slowing the bike down a tad, some of them didn't fit....
