No you're right it does a little bit in the flesh as well, but I think this is caused by the same issue.
Odd that the handling feels great despite this!

Very odd. Admittedly I used a wooden mallet, but I gave it probably fifteen hefty taps in total and it's no different.fabiostar wrote: yup thats how mine was aswell but mine just tapped straight after loosening everything. 3 or 4 good taps and its straight and every thing lines up..
Was it definitely only the top yoke bolts you loosened (plus the stem nut)?
Re: Front end alignment issue after crash repair
Ive got a set of yokes you can have cheap.
Re: Front end alignment issue after crash repair
yeah just top yoke and main stem nut... im thinking it looks like mine was but maybe something else is bent on yours..just strange that it looks the same as mine

Re: Front end alignment issue after crash repair
Before I get spannering and swap the steering stem, could this issue also be caused by a bent swingarm or even a bent frame? I would really have hoped they'd have checked that, and also I'd have thought it would cause chain alignment issues and I've checked that with a laser tool and it's fine.

its a front end problem....

Re: Front end alignment issue after crash repair
It can also be the lower clamp bent....
The best and fast way to check the clamps (if the forks are ok) is
1) lift the bike from the engine (front wheel free)
2)loose the stem nut
3)loose the upper clamp (both left and right)
4)loose the lower clamp.both the fork have to drop down freely.if they don t,clamps are bented (usually the lower)

Re: Front end alignment issue after crash repair
It'll be the lower yoke and clamps that are bent.
Take it off, turn it upside down and lay a steel rule across each clamp and you'll easily see any problem

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
