Thanks to those of you who answered my request for advice on a VTR. I have bought a 2000 model with under 9000 miles, very good condition and no signs of winter salt damage. It's one of the special issue dark blue ones with braided hoses, some internal mods to the forks which seem to work very well - compliant with little dive. I've done several hundred miles on it and, well I wish I'd gone for a Firestorm
sooner. What a great bike.
