Hi all,
Currently Winter pimping the bike (pics will follow) and I've my Micron silencers to polish up.
I've a polishing kit, worked great last year but this year it's being a pain in the ar*e and taking too long!
I'm down to the final polishing stages.
So, with little free time, I got a quote from reputable polishers.
£80 the pair (plus cost for removing/fitting pop rivets of micron logo, cost tbc)
Does this sound reasonable (it's more than I thought it'd be)
Cheers
Reasonable price for silencer polishing?
Re: Reasonable price for silencer polishing?
If they take the care to remove the rivets and badges, sounds like they are very reputable and I would expect an excellent result, I have paid £50 for some 2T end cans(much smaller of course) to be polished but I wasnt overly happy with the result, if you get exactly what you asked for , its worth it? or pay less and expect less?
Are your polishing soaps contaminated ? this cold weather makes metal polishing harder too.

Re: Reasonable price for silencer polishing?
I do polishing normally charge £10 an hour and i would only charge 20 for a pair of cans although it may take longer if they were damaged

If you think my attitude stinks ,you should smell my fingers !!

So I went for it and got them polished.
Turned out really good, £100 (cans and caps).
