I'm not new, but haven't ridden a bike or posted here for 14 years, since I sold my last VTR. Today I collected a 1998 VTR in yellow, with a WP rear shock.
Felt very rusty for my first ride in 14 years, and 2 hours of heavy traffic and dual carriageways was not the most inspiring return, but am looking forward to getting her out on familiar roads.
So, hello again!
Matt

Welcome back to the fold...
Will take a few rides for your body and brain to remember what riding (bikes) is all about

Re: Hello (again)
Thanks for the welcomes! Looking forward to a summer of riding, and hopefully making some mods/improvements to the bike.
14 years ago when I had to repair my red 'Storm, I got original colour coded panels from David Silver with no bother. As the new bike has a couple of lugs missing from the tail unit, I thought I'd see how easy it is to get a new one, but I guess 14 years of people repairing has reduced the stock somewhat; DS only had a red mudguard as far as I could see.
I guess I should stop fussing about details and just ride the bloody thing!

Re: Hello (again)
Welcome back Matt, good to hear from you again after all these years
Those lugs on the tail unit you're talking about are a weak point anyway,
Chris.
