Shame he's calling it a day, still one of the fastest out there and deserves a top ride. He's said in the past that he's not interested in anything other than motogp, I guess if he couldn't get the deal he wanted the only option is to retire.

I was sure Dani was going to secure a ride with Yamaha too, he looked too happy when Suzi Perry was quizzing him hard over his plans for next year, even though he didn't give anything away,

I thought the same. I've heard Cal say several times that Dani would be fast on that bike and I was looking forward to seeing if that would pan out. Light rider on a fast bike that's easy to ride...
