What is this?

Post by loinstallion »

So the bike is getting pulled to bits today. The easy access CCT is a manual but what is this? Cheers.

Looks like a Bazza style manual conversion using the OEM body and drilled through to allow fitting of a coach bolt.

No need really as it fully functions as a manual tensioner.

It’s been lockwired in place as well! Does Bazza do them like that or has someone taken it one step further?

No Bazza uses a roll pin on the dome nut. If its been lockwired maybe its been on track, either as a race bike or a paranoid trackdayer...

Check other areas to look for lockwire...sump bolt, callipers ect...

That's the first time I've ever seen a manual CCT lock wired. Not a bad idea though to stop the bolt unwinding should the lock nut come undone.

Seeing as you've found more, Mac it right, it's most likely been raced, or at the very least been prepared for racing,

Aye Chris it’s had a hard paper round but it looks to have been well looked after having now taken it to bits which is good news.

and it should have good brakes and suspension mods if it has been used on the track, so its not always a bad thing

Too true, it may even have had the engine worked on which could mean more bhp,
