Rose tinted specs Rob. Every time I got on a Guzzi all I could think of was the joy of getting off it.
They do LOOK sexy though.

I HATE the Guzzi twin layout - it repulses me!
But that body work is beyond amazing

It's a very, very old design (early 1960s?). Not as old as the BMW boxer (1920s) but, due to the longitudinal layout as technically disasterous as the Porsche boxer behind the rear axle. Like the BMW it was all about having a shaft drive.

I worked in a Multifranchise dealer onec upon a time...
MotoGuzzi was one of the brands...
The boss insisted I took one home one weekend...
Came back to work on the Monday Morn... I had to be polite when asked about my expireince...
Never ridden one since...
Personaly I thought it was a pile of outdated crap, top heavy, slow steering, shite brakes & I just couldnt get on with the side to side rocking when reving at a stand still...
This was late 80's so you had FZR, GSXR ect to compare it with...IIRC I was running a RGV MKIII Gamma at the time...

I'm sorry but because it's an old design is no excuse to carry on flogging a dead horse.......same as Boxer twins too.................KermitLeFrog wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 11:37 amIt's a very, very old design (early 1960s?). Oh and for a bit of Irony - I have a Buell, that's got an archaic sludge pump that is a poor excuse for an engine!
