All good points made
Rob I should get on and do the big Kat up, I could spend lots of money on it to whatever spec I fancied, it owes me nothing, if it was done up right it would be like a new bike and even if I put fancy wheels on and really went to town on it it would still be much cheaper than a new bike. The trouble is working with bikes every day I need motivation to do my own, it would take a good while to do and I need to really be in the mood, I think I'd do some then it would get left again, maybe leave it until i'm done working on bikes, then it can be my garage hobby.
Nick get yourself a VFR and come out racing with us

Firestorm parts fit them well
Al and Duffy, Engine wise the MT10 feels closer the the Storm, just with masses more, the FZ and MT do have similar riding positions. What the FZ1 can do is keep your back my drier in the rain than the MT, that thing gets me soaked from behind when I'm not even wet on the front

That's a big downside, I could have the rack and top box on all the time but it's an SP, ohlins all over it, top box for longer trips only..
The Storm is a waste in my ownership really, poor thing, there's just no real value in them, I'd sell for the right price but not going to offload it cheap. unfortunately that right price for me is £2500.. less than 10k miles, sorted forks, WP shock, all the bits done to make it a good working and looking bike, but someone would rather pay £1300 for a sh1tter and think they have a bargain
