Hi All,

firstly, absolutely loving the Storm, I have a new GSX S1000 which is very nice, but guess which i find myself riding mostly. The machine is awesome.

I probably like other owners have a few marks and scratches on my Storm. I am looking for a good Red Paint Equivalent.
HYCOTE paints are really good and easy to use with good results. Does anyone have a link to some good paint. I am capable of doing it myself on a small scale.

Also has anyone got a link to the Firestorm decals.... My tank has a big mark across the HONDA emblem and needs replacing..

For paint - as alanfjones1411 suggests or find a local auto paint factors and with the paint code (under the seat on the subframe) will be able to mix a rattle can up.

Just be warned that early and late Italian Reds are not the same. Not sure when it changed but maybe pre 2001 its more orange. I owned a 98 for a week and my 03 is different. Any plastics you buy, huggers, belly pans etc. are the earlier shade. No mention of this when you buy a can however

RS should know though but theyre not cheap.

The R157 Italian Red colour finish will fade in the sun over time in usually to pinkier shade - plus depending on undercoat, number of coats potentially can slightly differ in appearance.

Hi all, thank you very much for your replies, especially the downloads for the replacement decals Now that really is great. Will be looking at that in a little more detail over the next couple of months or so.

i have tried the paint suppliers website but our bike is not listed.

Thanks all, may have to just take the bike to a paint shop i know near me and ask his opinion on whats best today. I only have a few marks and scuffs so not a huge job.

Though its a US site and has the VTR as a Superhawk rather than Firestorm
