idle problem

my vtr1000f pulsate when it idle, I have put in a stage two jet kit, it did start right after but it pulsates between 1100 to 1400. it runs great when I am on the road and it doesn't die when I am idle it just pulsates. I have an adjustable jet needle I think I might have them up to high. What are the thoughts on this

That's tricky.
it can depend on so many factors. It could be rich or lean. What type of of pipe/airfilter you are running. Is the choke sitting fully in.

Try giving the carbs a good balance to give you a base setting to work with.
